This trip allows you to enjoy traveling only part of the Inca Trail without camping. The tour begins at kilometer 104 and is a walk of about seven hours to reach a lookout for a spectacular view of Machu Picchu and Inti Punku.
Then descend to Aguas Calientes. After spending the night in Aguas Calientes, we return to Machu Picchu at dawn to see the Historical Sanctuary. |

Day 1 : Cusco - Km. 104 - Aguas Calientes Town
The pick of the hotel is between 5.45 and 6.00 am., will be transferred to the train station to Machu Picchu.
Take the train and go down at km 104. Checkpoint National Institute of Culture and the beginning of our walk.
The scenery along the journey is wonderful!
We started walking around 10:30 am. Visit the ruins of Chacchabamba (2250 meters)Around 4:00 pm we arrive at the Puerta del Sol ("Intipunku") where you can see one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.
From here continue walking towards the village of Aguas Calientes where we overnight.

Day 2 : Tour to Machu Picchu - Back to Cusco in the Afternoon
After taking early breakfast at the hotel, take the bus to arrive at the citadel of Machu Picchu at sunrise and before other tourists arrive.
(You also have the option of walking up to the citadel).
The guide will provide a guided tour of the ruins, about two hours.
Then you will be free to explore at your own.
Lunch (not included).
Should be in the train station 30 minutes before the scheduled return to Cusco.
Once in Cusco, transfer to hotel.
